Astrolox asks for your date, time and place of birth so it can compute the sky at the moment you were born. This policy explains what happens to that data, where it goes, and how you have it erased.

The short version

• We take your date, time and place of birth to compute your chart. We do not use them for research or system training unless you separately allow it.
• We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or track you across the site.
• Your forecast is written for you personally, with the help of the AI model we use. For that, only sky data computed from your chart is sent to a US-based AI service provider; your name, email and Apple ID are not.
• What you read, and how, never leaves your phone. Only your "Did it come true?" answer about a day's forecast reaches us.
• You can delete your account in the app at any time.

What we process

We receive this data from three places: what you enter in the app, Apple (sign-in and subscription), and your device (the identifier needed for notifications).

Your birth details. Your date of birth, time of birth and place of birth (country, city and the city's coordinates). Your chart cannot be computed without them; the whole app rests on these three facts.

Your account. The user identifier Apple gives us when you sign in with Apple; your name and email address if you choose to share them. If you use Apple's private relay option we only ever receive the relay address, never your own.

Your preferences. App language, the hour your cosmic forecast should arrive, your time zone, and your notification choice.

A device identifier for notifications. If you turn notifications on, the push token Apple issues for that device.

Subscription records. The transaction identifiers, product identifier, status and dates the App Store reports to us. We never see or store your card details; payment is handled entirely by Apple.

Content produced for you. Your chart, your daily cosmic forecasts, your weekly and monthly outlooks, and the sky calculations behind them.

Your "Did it come true?" answers. When you say whether a day's cosmic forecast came true, that day and your answer. Used to measure and improve the quality of our forecasts.

Technical records. The IP address, time and outcome of requests reaching our servers, kept so the service stays up and abuse can be stopped.

What never leaves your device

The app keeps an encrypted archive of the days you have read on your phone, so past cosmic forecasts open without a connection.

What you opened, when, and how long you read never leaves your device. It is not sent to our servers. You can erase the archive in one tap from the "Your data" screen in the app.

The one exception is the "Did it come true?" answer you choose to give; only the day and the answer are sent. If you use the Home Screen widget, the day's opening sentence and sky line are kept unencrypted on your phone so the widget can read them.

How is your forecast written?

Planet positions are calculated from astronomical data. The cosmic forecast built on those calculations is written for you personally, with the help of the AI model we use.

For this, the sky data computed from your chart and the calculation results for the period are sent to a US-based AI service provider. Your name, email address, Apple user identifier and subscription records are not sent.

The provider processes this data on our behalf, only to write your forecast. Its own retention periods apply.

Why we process it

We process your birth details and the content produced for you to keep the promise the app makes you (performance of a contract).

We use your notification hour and device identifier because you allowed it, and stop when you turn notifications off (consent).

We keep technical records to protect the service (legitimate interests). We process "Did it come true?" answers to measure the quality of our forecasts (legitimate interests). We keep subscription and billing records because the law requires it (legal obligation).

Astrolox does not use personal data for advertising, does not sell it, and does not share it with ad networks. There are no third-party advertising or visitor analytics trackers in the app or on the website. We do not send marketing emails or newsletters. Technical records kept for service security and service notifications you request serve separate purposes.

Birth data deserves a paragraph of its own

Your date, time and place of birth, taken together, can identify you. Even with your name removed, this data is not anonymous. So we protect it as carefully as your account.

We do not use your birth details or forecasts for research, statistics or system training unless you separately give permission. Processing needed to provide and secure the service and to fix errors is separate from those uses.

Who we share it with

Apple. For sign-in (Sign in with Apple), notification delivery (APNs) and subscription and payment processing. Apple's own privacy policy applies.

AI service provider. To write your forecast, as described above.

Hosting. Our main server is hosted in Türkiye on a virtual dedicated server (VDS) provided by DeHost.

Network and security. Traffic to astrolox.app and between the app and our server passes through the network of Cloudflare, Inc. (United States) for fast delivery and protection against attacks. To do this, Cloudflare processes your IP address and technical details of each request (the address requested, the time, browser or app information); it decrypts the traffic on its network and forwards it to our server encrypted again. The site's images and videos are cached by Cloudflare; responses that belong to your account are not.

Authorities. Only to the extent we are legally required to.

International transfers

Some of our service providers, Apple, Cloudflare and our AI service provider among them, operate servers outside the European Economic Area and Türkiye, principally in the United States. Transfers are made under the safeguards the applicable law requires.

How long we keep it

Birth details entered without an account: at most one day. You can see your chart before creating an account. If that data is not claimed by an account, it is deleted from our servers within one day at the latest.

Data tied to your account: for as long as the account exists. Deleting your account deletes your birth profile, chart, cosmic forecasts, "Did it come true?" answers and preferences.

Subscription and payment records are kept even after an account is deleted, detached from the account, for the period financial law requires (ten years under article 82 of the Turkish Commercial Code, counted from the end of the calendar year the record arose in). They are also what lets us correctly resolve the entitlement of an account opened later with the same App Store subscription.

Production records: 90 days. We keep encrypted technical records showing which inputs a cosmic forecast was produced from, so content can be audited and errors traced, for 90 days, then delete them. These are not your forecast archive; your forecasts stay with you for as long as your account exists. Access is limited to authorised staff and every access is itself logged.

Contact form messages: 12 months. The name, email address and message you send through the contact form on our site are used only to reply to you, and are deleted 12 months after the message reaches us.

Technical records: short-lived, no longer than operations need.

Your rights

In relation to your personal data you have the right to:

• know whether it is processed and obtain a copy
• have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected
• have it erased
• ask us to restrict processing
• withdraw consent where processing rests on it
• receive your data in a structured, portable form
• object to processing, and lodge a complaint with your data protection authority

Write to [email protected]. Once we have verified your identity we will respond within the period the law sets.

Deleting your account

In the app: Profile → Your account → Delete my account permanently. When the request is accepted your account is closed, the local archive on your device is cleared, and your data is removed from our servers.

Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription. Cancel that separately in your Apple ID settings.

Children

Astrolox is not designed for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If we learn we have, we delete it; if you notice it, write to [email protected].

Security

Data is protected with TLS in transit and held on the server inside a private network with restricted access. The archive on your device is encrypted. Staff access is masked by default; unmasked access requires a separate permission and leaves an audit record every time.

No system can promise absolute security. What we commit to is taking reasonable, current technical and organisational measures.

The website and cookies

The site uses no tracking cookies and no visitor analytics. The language and edition you choose are kept only in your own browser (local storage) and are not sent to us. Cloudflare may set its own security cookies.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy we change the date on this page. When a change is significant we also say so inside the app.
